THE WHITEHOUSE RANGE

This range of kit houses is inspired by the classic Hebridean ‘whitehouse’ form, characterised by its white rendered walls, slate roof and attractive dormer windows. These buildings became commonplace across Scotland in various forms, and largely replaced the traditional blackhouse in the Highlands. We have carefully considered proportion in the design of these houses, to make sure they look both authentic and attractive. Many modern interpretations of these houses have been clumsily designed, with a poor ratio between roof and wall. To avoid this issue, we’ve ensured that our range follow the classical rules. The result is a beautifully balanced exterior, whose style contrasts markedly with the stunningly modern interior spaces.
