HebHomes is Hiring - Architectural Technician / Technologist

HebHomes is seeking an experienced, talented and enthusiastic techicain or technologist to join its Glasgow office.

The following qualifications and skills are required:

  • To oversee, review and sign-off all drawing and specification packages produced by the office and ensure information is in line with building specifications.
  • Updates to standard house types, construction details, specifications and drawing standards. 
  • Development of standard Revit models.
  • Preparation of fabrication drawings suitable for manufacture of timber kits.
  • To liaise with suppliers, contractors and consultants to ensure smooth operation of work on site.
  • Carrying out site visits, to inspect works and resolve any issues arising on site.
  • Problem-solving any issues effectively and promptly on site that may require the input of HebHomes.
  • Reviewing construction contract documents.
  • Act as Project Manager on projects as required.

HebHomes is seeking an experienced, talented and enthusiastic architect to join its Glasgow office.

The following qualifications and skills are required:

ARB Part 3 Qualified with at least 3 years experience
Proficiency in Revit/VectorWorks
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to take initiative and ownership of tasks
Enjoy problem solving and have excellent organisation skills

Duties:

Act as Architect/Project Manager on projects including design development, client relationship management, preparation of planning and working drawings and contractual matters.
To liaise with clients, project architects and structural engineers to ensure adequate consistency
Review costs and design change implications
When required, checking works on site, not limited to the superstructure, in the event that any knock-on effects can be limited
Problem-solving any issues effectively and promptly on site that may require the input of HebHomes

The ideal candidate will:

Have a passion for sustainable architecture and project management
Be interested in construction and rural architecture
Enjoy and work well both a team environment and autonomously
Have strong design and visualisation skills
Have a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude
